Osaka Prefectural Nagano High School, founded in 1973, is a 20 min. walk from Kawachi-Nagano Station on the Kintetsu Nagano Line and Nankai Koya Line, or Chiyoda Station on the Nankai Koya Line, near city hall, on a hill with a view of the surrounding area.

Courses Offered

The General Course is geared towards students pursuing a general curriculum in preparation for university and other future paths of study.

The International Course focuses on foreign-language study and international cooperation, in preparation for university and future careers involving foreign languages.

International Course Highlights

  • Integrated English-language program:
    • Debate and Discussion (1st & 2nd year), Project Studies (3rd year)- twice a week, with native English teachers.
    • Basic Reading / Writing Skills
    • English Grammar
  • Second Foreign Languages include Chinese, French, German and Korean.
  • Study-abroad opportunities, both short-term (Australia, Philippines) and long-term (via various organizations)
  • Sister-school visits and exchanges with Sunbury College (Melbourne, Australia) and Jeonnam Foreign Language High School (South Jeolla, South Korea)
  • Supplementary courses in Japanese for students studying abroad in Japan, foreign students living in Japan, or Japanese students returning from living abroad
